The Environmental Law Research Institute joined the British Council Nigeria and MTN to celebrate the World Environmental Day on Saturday, 30 June 2008. Over 500 students from primary to tertiary institutions in Lagos State participated in the Walk for Life awareness programme on environment in Lagos State.
Other dignitaries who took part in the walk include the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria Mr. Richard Powell, British Council Director of Programmes Ms. Sam Harvey, representative of Lagos State Deputy Governor and Director MTN Foundation, Mrs Amina Oyagbola.
